Open-source agentic IDE from JetBrains, built around the pi coding agent. Every chat gets its own git worktree, and the agent keeps project intent in a graph of living SPEC.md files.
A lightweight IDE wrapped around pi, which runs in-process and handles models, skills, compaction and cost. Open a git repo as a project and cut workspaces from it as git worktrees, each with its own branch, terminals and chats, so several agents work in parallel without touching your checkout. Around them: Monaco editor tabs, a files tree with live git marks, a diff view with anchored review comments you can send back to the chat, and a topbar that takes the branch through push, PR, CI checks and merge via your own gh.
Specs are the ground truth. A connected graph of SPEC.md files lives beside the code, and the agent reads, searches and maintains it through dedicated spec_* tools, so intent survives the session. It also reads your existing Agent Skills and pi config, connects MCP servers from mcp.json and asks before calls that aren't marked read-only, and asks you structured multiple-choice questions instead of guessing. The questions and diagram tools are published as plain pi packages too.
